EYFS1 & 2 - Stara Class

Welcome to

Stara Class

Updated Saturday 23rd July

Well....where did that year go? We are now at the end of the academic year and the Nursery children are going to be Receptions and Reception children are going to be Year Ones in Henwood class. I could not be more proud of the children in Stara Class. They have worked so hard and I am thrilled with each and every one of them. They are happy, bright, independent young learners and have been such fun to teach.

Teaching children has got to be one of the most rewarding jobs in the world, and it is with a heavy heart that I also move on. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your amazing support and I wish you and your families the very best for the future.

On a lighter note -

We are celebrating the end of the academic year with a whopping all day party! On Tuesday 26th July, all Stara Class can come to school in party clothes or fancy dress outfits. I have been dared to wear a giant pink tutu. I certainly don't need to be asked twice. Its ordered and arriving this weekend!

The party is open to all children, even if it's not their usual day.

Lunch will be normal packed lunch or school dinners. However, there will be party food offered at morning snack time and we will probably sneak in an afternoon snack too. Any small donations of cakes, biscuits and crisps will be welcomed. I am providing fruit, crackers and milkshake for the party along with party prizes and decorations.

If you have any questions regarding the party, please do get in touch.

Tapestry

The Reception Tapestry Journals are now ready for uploading from your individual Tapestry accounts. To do this, log into www.tapestryjournal.com (you cannot do this from the App). Click on your name in the top right hand corner and select 'downloads'. There should be a zip file containing all your child's photos and videos. This can be a huge document and printing is not recommended. If you have any difficulty, Tapestry do brilliant video tutorials on You Tube.

Reading challenge

Listed below are the top fifty books that are recommended that your child reads. Have a look and see how many of these you can read this year. If you click on the link you can also download a checklist too. Happy reading!
