Term Dates
School Opening Hours
Start and end of the day: Stara and Henwood - The school day starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.10pm. A total of 31 hours and 15 minutes per week.
Plusha and Caradon - The school day starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.15pm. A total of 31 hours and 40 minutes per week.
The gates will be unlocked from 8.40am to 8.55pm. This is a drop off time. Only access for parents to the school office.
Registration: 8:55am
Playtimes: 10.45 to 11am
Lunch: 12.00pm to 1.00pm
The gates will be open from 3.05pm. Parents may access the playground to collect their child.
Drop-off and collection
At the beginning of the school day, we ask parents to drop their child off at the gates. There will always be a member of staff at the gates. At the end of the day, parents will have access to the playground from 3.05pm to collect their child.
If normal arrangements have to be altered (eg you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.
Getting to school
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Sterts car park is available for those that need to come by car by would like a short stroll.
If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely. Please be aware of road markings, residents and parking directly outside the school gate.

Healthy Snacks
We will provide children who attend wrap around care with a variety of healthy snacks, cereals, dried & fresh fruit, milk, cheese & crackers, bread sticks, yoghurt etc.
